Should you use Google’s NEW Firebase Studio for vibe coding (Full Demo)
Synopsis
Greg and Yoni Smolyar test Google's new Firebase Studio by building a budgeting app (same prompt as a Lovable version). Firebase Studio is free, deeply integrated with Firebase/GCP, code-first UI with two modes (templates or an App Prototyping Agent), and runs on Gemini 2.5 Pro. Lovable comes out more visually polished with less friction. Firebase Studio is clearly alpha-stage but positioned as the technical counterweight to Lovable, with potential to become a strong competitor.
